Lies of The Beautiful People, is incredible! this is the first time in a very longggg time that I can fathom listening to a whole album without stopping it halfway through, bravo Nikki and Sixx A.M. now that’s what I’m talking about! I’m going to bug my programming department so they can interview you guys!!
I’ve always been a fan of lyrics and the lyrics on this song strike such a chord and I called a good friend of mine to tell her “FINALLY! someone wrote the truth, leave it to NIKKI to do it!” so YES this has been an inspiration, thank you! for pointing out that beauty is so deep that anyone who cannot see that depth is truly lost.
PS a super fan moment, you inaugurated your Harley at The Hard Rock in L.A. a few years ago! I still have those pics, cause I somehow ended up next to you with your son Gunner in the photo shot, haha! thanks Nikki for allowing me to do that, you are super cool!

I love every song on the cd. It’s rare to say that you like every song on a cd unless it’s a greatest hits. This music has touched me on so many levels. I really connected with the songs because right now I hurt. Listening to the songs helps me get thru the nights I can’t sleep. The days when I can’t take all the bs and helps me see that it all ok.
“Sure feels right” and “Skin” are my favorite. They are so beautiful

I can’t figure out which song is my favorite. I’ve listened to “sure feels right” 6 or 7 times. What a cool driving tune. I’ve been commuting around Nor Cal listening to it. ” live: forever” I have played at least 5 times today alone; “Deadlihood” god knows how many times. When I hear “Skin” it makes me think of my son and can’t listen to it again: great song. “Smile” makes me gratful for my wife. Lately, I grabbed onto “are you with me now”…..I made my associate listen to “lies..”. This album is better than the first album and I really liked that album. Well done…
When I heard “skin” for the first time, I had to hit repeat a few times. what an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL song. The whole album is wonderful. You are definately a very talented song writerwith a beautiful heart and I hope that you keep the music coming. Come back to the Seattle area soon
“This is gonna hurt” is my fav. Most of the album is outstanding… My only problem: “Sure feels right” has a Bon Jovi-esque twist that I don’t like that much
“Are You With Me Now” and ‘Oh My God” are my favorites but i love the entire album. It completly changed my life and made me realize that there are a lot of things that have happened that I just pushed aside and refused to deal with. I thought it was no be deal but ‘This is Gonna Hurt” made me step back and go ‘wow this is all this stuff I’ve been blocking out is having a negative effect on my life’. This album is helping me deal with everything and really change my life. Thank you Nikki, James, Dj from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
I love the song Oh My God. It’s true to it’s lyrics and I can relate to them in every way. Besides Skin, it has the most meaningful lyrics that are easily described in the song. I also love the songs,

Can’t choose one for now, but here goes my thoughts:
I’ve listenned to the album a couple of times now and I can try and make a top 5 so far, for me. That said, it I like it all and that top 5 will change for sure with time. My top five is NOT in any particular order, it’s just the 5 songs I like the most.
1. Goodbye My Friends. This song is crazy. I mean, musically, it’s intense. Lyrically, it’s magic. This song has everything for me. It brings me back to the Heroin Diaries soundtrack, but it’s different at the same time. I just love and and can’t stop listening to it and sing it. Amazing.
2. Live Forever. On my first listen of that song, I was sold. I love the rythm, it just gets me.
3. This Is Gonna Hurt. It just makes me wanna sing and dance, the words are great. I really like it and it sets the table for the whole record.
4. Deadlihood. The music, wow. The words, wow. It’s always playing in my head.
5. Skin. This song is special. James’ voice on it is just getting something inside of me and touches me so deeply. The words are touching and makes you think. I like that about songs. I was looking for a song like this one on this album. I think it’s also at the good place on the album, the last song. Brings you back to the title song and the title of the album, This is gonna hurt amd to Lies of the Beautiful People.
Of course, I am in love with LOBT too, and Smile… OMG. Smile. It’s just a beautiful love song. It makes you dream. I also need that with music, to dream. Amazing love song.

Just got the audiobook as a companion to the hardcover, WOW! I love the digital “booklet” that comes with it. Every photo in the book is there for me to soak in, beautiful. Now I just need to find a way to play the album, play the audiobook and sync all the photos and it would be beyond perfect.
Love the new one, my favorites are sure feels right and smile. But I love it all from beginning to end. Even my 14 year old son has asked me to put some on his ipod.
There is just no way I can pick one song. They are all awesome!!!! I can’t stop listening to this CD!!!!
It definetly has to be ” Skin ” because of the cleverness of using what sounds like an old rhodes keyboard, instead of a grand piano, that and how you used the octaves during the choruses to slowly build up, that and the pure emotion in James’ voice, but other than “skin ” I really like Deadlihood, for the sheer fact its just sortof punches you in the face, and gets stuck in your head like no other, and the lyrics!
This entire experience has touched me to the depths of my soul! Thank you for touching me in ways that music and lyrics haven’t in half my lifetime. These are big shoes, Gentlemen! This Is Gonna Hurt gets my blood flowing and makes me want to move! Skin is the song that every child on the planet should hear and is the mantra in my head every single day! And Sure Feels Right makes me long for someone to mess up the sheets to it with…
Oh My God has to be one of the finest tracks I have ever heard. When James sings “I’m so ashamed”, it sends chills.
Skin is also so very perfect…

I love all the songs on the new Sixx:A.M. album. Two of my favorites is the song Deadlihood for no particular reason and the song Codependence who I love because of the message within the song.
I’m glad that James decided to play drums on the album. So the album sound even better than the Heroin Diaries which I still love xoxo

It’s really hard to pick favorites from the new, amazing album! Everyone is a favorite in different times, but right now it’s got to be “Sure feels right” for the good feeling it gives me, “Skin” for allowing me to cry my pain out and seeing myself in a different way and “Oh my god” ’cause I think it’s so true. Spot on. My as I said: Everyone is a favorite!

“Are You With Me Now” Fell for it hard from the get go, it’s one of those songs you sing along with at the top of your lungs in the car & could care less if people think you’re a lunatic, lol.
I have only heard Lies of the Beutiful People and think its amazing. But yesterday, Mothers Day, my sons gave me your book This is Gonna Hurt. I haven’t put it down. Amazing, thougtful, deep. I also had a mentally retarted sibling growing up who was institutionalized. I so feel your pain when someone uses that word. Looking forward to seeing you in Cincy in June.

My favorite song so far is definitely “Sure Feels Right”, I think mainly because it’s just got that calming effect to the song. Especially with the chaos I deal with on a daily basis, its got that feeling that I need to just sit back and relax for a bit and it’ll all feel right, you know?
I love all the songs on the new Sixx AM CD. I only received it the other day, but after hearing previews on youtube, my favourites are Goodbye My Friends, Live Forever, Help Is On The Way, Are You With Me. I love the dramatic, operatic, theatrical style of the CD which encompasses everything. The music, the vocals by James, so haunting, so beautiful, so raw. Ready to listen to it again. It’s in a different league to HD. Hope James is safe and okay, as there’s been reports about the intense flooding in Tennesse.

I can’t pick just one song….my fav seems to be whatever song I’m listening to at the moment. Having said that…I find myself blasting “This Feels Right” whenever I’m driving…just perfect for that…I tear up when I sing along to “SKIN”…James your voice is hauntingly beautiful on that…”Oh My God” the message in that just resonates in my heart…. “Live Forever” just makes me want to sing along at the top of my voice (and I do….sorry neighbors!)…”Are you with me”…YES I AM….looking at my demons…”Deadlihood” I can sooo relate to…I’ve been in that relationship….”Smile” makes me do just that…I hope someday I find the person that makes me do that…”Help is on the Way”, “Goodbye My Friends” … LOTBP, TIGH….I love love love. They’re all great but my absolute favourite would have to be “THIS is GONNA HURT”. The reason, it was the first song to this CD and sent chills allover. It was a great introduction. It drew me in and I wasn’t disappointed. Great job guys! Can’t wait to hear more.

Nikki I have 5 favorite songs on the new cd and they are This is going to hurt, it makes me think of this girl I know that has the wait of the world on her sholders she lost her dad at the age of two, and her mom well lets just say she is not so nice to her daughter. Lies of the beautiful, I hope that when everybody hears this one that they open there eyes and not judge everyone by looking at the cover. Sure feels right, makes me think on how much I love my husband and my 2 boys and how lucky I really am. Smile it just makes me smile even more, and the last one is skin, wow what a powerful song and it is so true people have a hard time looking beneath the skin to see the true person within them.

Sure Feels Right is awesome, so relaxing, and Live Forever is a killer track , but the whole CD is amazing
It’s gotta be either Are You With Me Now? or Deadlihood. Both fantastic tracks for diff reasons – Are You With Me Now gets stuck in your head and is an anthem to positivity (and HAS to be the next single!) whereas I love the dark side (and the interesting chord changes) in Deadlihood! All round great album though, well done to you all!! x

My favourite song is Smile because it’s like being in love again, something I’ve lost in my life and I miss that feeling. A close second would have to be Sure Feels Right. I love to drive and it reminds me of when my best friend and I in high school just used to drive around El Paso, Texas all night and sing to the radio or a cassette. Our music of choice was Prince, Purple Rain, and although it was dark instead of sunny outside, there’s still that feeling of joy from the music, being with a best friend, driving and enjoying being alive. I love the whole album though. I haven’t felt that way about an album in a long time that I love the whole thing and for me that’s rare. Thank your for producing such a wonderful gift for all of us. xoxo

I’ve got many favorite songs on this record, but I choose Help Is On The Way. I just can’t get this song out of my head, from the catchy vocals intro (with the claps) replay on the guitar, the vocal line on the verses; the chorus is awesome, with all the keyboards used, it just make it huge!!! as for the break before the last chorus, you just take your breath before the last assault! (make me think of queen with the voice and the guitar , bass and piano). and the lyrics are ( as always) really nice.

I love Smile. The song is sooooooooo incredibly beautiful and it touches me deeply. I will echo what Cherie said, it reminds me of what it feels to be in love and feel consumed by it. How everything beautiful reminds you of that person. Feeling content, that life is quiet when you’re happy, and nothing else matters but keeping that feeling inside of you. Michael’s voice is insanely gorgeous and I cannot get enough.
well my favorite song is “Lies of the beautiful people”…why because it has touched my heart in so many different levels… and in the song “Life is beautiful” I can thank you so much for writting that song because that has happened to me and i have sleepless nights when i wake up screaming sometimes…but,then there’s days when i’m with all the bs from everybody in my house..sometimes i just want to run away from everthing and everybody in my life. dealihood becuase im a musician and i just love the actual music, but i dont quite understand it, if anyone could explain it to me i wud rly appreciate it
To be honest I’m still waiting for my CD for This is Gonna Hurt to come in the mail, but I wanted to give my two-cents on the book.
It was unique.
It was disturbing.
It was awing
and it was inspiring.
Most of all though, it was relatable. I may not have been able to relate on the drugs but I completely understand that need and desire to express yourself artistically and creatively. Those moments in life when you’re trapped in those dark yet inspiring places in your head or in life and all you really want and need is a pencil and paper, a camera and film, canvas and paint.
And if, or when, you make your third book I know it will have the same inspiring effects on me this one did.
“Skin” is my favorite song on the album and most likely my favorite song of all time. It is a very powerful track that gives hope to those who live their life in the shadow of society and shows that true beauty is on the inside. I can relate to it very well because i am not very self confident yet this song helps very much. i listen to it every morning. personally i think it is the best way to start my day.
