Since I cannot get a tattoo for medical reasons, she permitted me to have a copy of the artwork so I can put it on a prosthetic leg that I may or may not need in the future. A very inspiring song that many people could learn something from. I believe we should wear our scars proudly. They are our badges of courage; we earnedd them. As a heart transplant recipient my scar shows the world the angel in my (borrowed) heart. I thank you for showing the world through your music and photography that people are all different and beautiful in their own way.

It’s great lyrics and I really wish that people would look beyond what’s on the outside of others and see that we are not our skin; there is so much more to a person than what’s on the outside. I think if more folks did that, theree would be so much less hate and violence in the world. My hat is off to SIXX AM for this GREAT song! Good job guys!

I actually came across this song by accident. I was looking for the “This is gonna hurt”, and saw this title “Skin”. my best friend died a few years ago a a very rare and very deadly skin cancer.. I was always trying to convince him that he wasn’t inside, what he looked like on the outside. You’ve said it perfectly here. *tears* Thank you. <3

I’m a 6’4″, 250 lb man but I cry everytime I hear this song. I wish people could see these children for what they are inside instead of their scars. This song should be their anthem.
